During the past few months, I’ve been working with Rusty’s Pizza in Ventura County on a social media/online presence marketing campaign. The campaign has been successful. In fact, Jordano’s Foods & Unipro Foods asked me to write a case-study. I wrote one for their customers but wanted to create a simple to digest presentation as well.
Social Media is still, for many businesses, a black box. Largely undefined and misunderstood. With Rusty’s we developed a very specific set of goals and our strategy moved us clearly in that direction. Here are the way the numbers worked out.
Facebook Fans at the start of our campaign: 65
Facebook Fans as of this morning: 3,902
Business growth in revenue: 70%+

The final number is, in fact, the only number that really matters. Growth in “Fans” is a meaningless metric unless it is coupled with true engagement and has some positive impact on the bottom line.
