Wes is an educational consultant focusing on new media, social media issues and strategies.
Feedreader – blog, podcasts, and news reader
This is the reader I use that runs locally on your PC. You can also search for online readers like, Google Reader.
Start blogging with a free subscription to, WordPress or Blogger.
Audacity Audio – free audio
Make sure you download the "LAME" encoder to convert your audacity projects into MP3s.
XILISoft makes a pretty good video/audio converter too. – It cost $35 bucks – worth it for me.
CamStudio is the free video software Alan Evans mentioned.
I use this sometimes too – although I have Camtasia Studio – which is a good – if not, slow product.
ZOHO.COM
Not really related to blogs and podcasts – as much as online collaborative apps. I find ZOHO to be more powerful and full-featured than Google Apps. Amazing stuff.
